Batteries

Batteries for depots, industry and reserve markets.

Stationary batteries behind the meter, and movable ones for construction sites and temporary sites.

Smart power when you need it.

  • Takes the peaks

The battery supplies power in the hours the site uses most. That brings your grid fees down. How it works.

  • Gives extra power

When the grid falls short, the battery supplies the rest. Fast chargers and machines get full power.

  • Earns money when idle

Energy management picks the job, automatically. When the battery stands idle, it can earn money in the reserve markets.

Power this year, not in five.

If the grid is full, the grid company can say yes with conditions. You get the capacity, in return for cutting back when the grid needs it. The battery handles the condition, and your operations notice nothing.

Conditions differ from one grid company to the next. We read your offer and work out how big the battery must be.

We help you find the right size. We fetch your meter data and analyse what the site needs.

Built for Norwegian conditions.

We deliver batteries from world-leading Sungrow. Sungrow is behind the largest battery plant in the Nordics, and the batteries handle −30 to 50 °C.

  • Ready for reserve markets

Both meet the requirements Statnett, the Norwegian grid operator, sets for taking part in the reserve markets. We run the tests, and Statnett approves the site. About reserve markets.

  • We plan and design

We draw the site and work out the size and limit from your meter data.

  • We install and commission

The battery is made ready at our place. Our own technicians install it and put it into operation.

  • Certified technicians

Our own technicians, certified by Sungrow. We see every battery and fix most things before you notice. How we work.

Off the truck and running.

BoostStack is our solution for temporary access to power. The Sungrow cabinets are built into our movable frame. With energy management you get full power where the grid is weak or missing.

  • Quickly up and running

No digging or concrete. The frame goes on level ground and is connected, plug and play.

  • Movable

Lifted off the truck by crane, and moved to the next project when the job is done.

  • Runs without the grid

Can also connect to a generator, solar or the grid. Energy management controls the sources itself.

Used batteries. No worries.

Made in Norway

Together with Scania we developed reBooster from used truck batteries. It is built to last as long as a new one.

If a battery pack needs replacing, we replace it at our cost. You get a lower price per kilowatt hour, and the batteries get a long second life. Read about reBooster (in Norwegian).

More charging power than the grid gives.

The fast chargers connect straight to BoostStack or reBooster. Energy management adds up what the grid gives and what the battery has, and shares it between the chargers. The vehicles then charge at high power, even when the grid falls short.

  • Finds the chargers itself

When a fast charger is connected, it registers with the control system straight away.

  • Knows how full the battery is

The control system always sees what the grid gives and what the battery has left. The fuller the battery, the more power for the chargers.

  • Shares the power

The power is split between the chargers, so each gets as much as possible without tripping the main fuse.

Questions we often get.

What does a battery cost?

It depends on the size and what the battery will do. We fetch your meter data and work out the size, price and payback time.

How long does the battery last?

The battery is often the part that lasts longest. Rust and moving parts in the inverter and cooling need service long before the cells do, and our service agreement takes care of that. A battery behind the meter rarely runs a full cycle a day. If you worry about lifetime, look at electric cars. Many were predicted a short life, but are still on the road after more than ten years.

Can the battery earn money in the reserve markets?

Yes, when it stands idle. We arrange the agreement and check that there is room in your area. About reserve markets.

Can the battery supply power during a power cut?

Yes. The battery can be built to run the site on its own when the grid goes down. Tell us if this matters, and we include it from the start.
